Angélique is a painter based in Paris.
Her painting flourishes at the boundary between figuration and abstraction. She plays with texture, setting liquid against solid, matte against glossy, in a dance of contrasting yet harmonious elements inspired by many sources.

A few words about my work
A few words
about my work
Nature in all its forms is an endless source of inspiration for me.
Whether mineral, vegetal, or aquatic, I love to express its colors and shapes, drawing from both its natural geometry and its infinite variety of textures and tones. I enjoy observing contrasts and transparencies, reproducing subtle associations of colors and graphic patterns.
Urban trees, underwater worlds, and aerial views of the Earth fascinate me—whether it’s the mineral beauty and vivid colors of cliffs and rocks, or the intricate patterns formed by cities and rooftops.
The world that captivates me most, the one I love to escape into, is the marine world—with its shimmering currents, turquoise lagoons, white sandbanks, waves, and rocky shores.
My work draws on these vegetal, mineral, and aquatic landscapes, aiming to capture the emotion sparked by their lights, transparencies, and colors. I focus more on expressing the essence of a subject than describing it—I prefer suggestion and evocation, letting color speak and imagination roam free.
I express myself through textures and glazes, where liquid and solid, matte and gloss, oppose and echo each other. From lime to resin, ink to pigments, sand and mica, crumpled and glued papers—I compose freely, blending materials to let color truly resonate.
MY JOURNEY
Coming from a family of artists, I first studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d'Art (ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres).
In 2006-2007, I trained in painting techniques at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
After 20 years in the multimedia industry as a graphic designer and web designer, I decided in 2007 to fully dedicate myself to my passion for painting.
